Monnalisa operates in over 50 countries using qualified distribution, through flagship stores (Milan-Florence-Arezzo-Rome-Catania-NewYork-Sydney-Baku), corner shops and shops in the most exclusives Department Stores and Boutiques in the world. 74% of the sales comes from the domestic market (17% of which comes from the EU), while 26% comes from overseas.
Over the years, Monnalisa has made important distribution agreements. These have lead to the opening of new sales points in emerging and difficult penetration markets such as China, India, Egypt, Syria, Taiwan, Libya and Brazil, reaching the top range of Italian companies for investments and development.
Its History
Piero Iacomoni and Barbara Bertocci who today are respectively the Chairman of the Board and the Creative Director of the company founded Monnalisa SpA in 1968.
After 40 years and thanks to the commitment and enthusiasm of every collaborator, Monnalisa SpA is part of a star-shaped Group. There are five connected companies, all located in Arezzo, the heart of Made in Italy and great cultural and artistic Italian traditions.
The philosophy of Monnalisa is based on the unique combination of entrepreneurship, innovation, search for new markets, unique styling and a specific attention to the development of company resources and abilities. Knowhow and passion blended together make Monnalisa SpA a leader among small and medium-sized companies. The "Label of the year 2007" award, received in Amsterdam on the occasion of the European Kids Fashion Awards 2007, and the 2006 Financial Statement Oscar awarded by Ferpi (Italian Federation of Public Relations) are a proof of this status.
