MONNALISA AND THE ZECCHINO D'ORO FESTIVAL

02/12/2021

Monnalisa is proud to announce that, for the third consecutive time, it will dress the choir and the soloists in Italy’s best-loved children's festival. The 64th Zecchino d'Oro will be broadcast for three afternoons, on 3, 4 and 5 December live on Rai1 from the Antoniano television studio in Bologna. Leading the first two afternoons are Francesca Fialdini and Paolo Conticini, while for the final on Sunday 5 December, the duo will take their place on the jury and hand the baton over to the artistic director, Carlo Conti, who will conduct the final episode.

There are 14 songs in the competition, which cover very different topics, from animals to family, from the love of reading to the importance of recycling; and 17 little performers from 9 regions of Italy, chosen from thousands of children during casting of Zecchino d'Oro.

Barbara Bertocci and Diletta Iacomoni, Monnalisa's creative tandem, comment on the partnership: “ As stylists and mothers, it’s always a great pleasure for us to dress the children in this very famous Choir. This year we were guided by a very fun college inspiration for girls, while for the boys we chose a very contemporary look, with jackets and sneakers. For soloists, the outfits are full of emotion. We are delighted and honoured to make a contribution to an event linked to Italian history and tradition that focuses on childhood, music and solidarity ".

The 64th Zecchino d'Oro supports the “Operazione Pane” campaign which supports 17 Franciscan soup kitchens throughout Italy.
